Safety, Welfare & Facilities

We want everyone to feel safe, to look after themselves and each other. Whilst the festival provides facilities and implements policies to ensure safety and promote welfare, it’s important that you look after yourself and your friends and family.

+ Medical

We have a 24 hour fully equipped medical centre with an experienced and qualified team based in the arena. If you’re feeling unwell, or have taken a tumble, pop in and the team will be happy to help.

Get to know the location of the Medical once you arrive on-site.

+ Welfare

A welfare tent will be available for all customers, 24 hours between event opening hours. Our welfare team are happy to help with any issues from providing suncream and a cup of tea to aiding in finding your lost child, and have a huge amount of experience in dealing with a wide range of issues.

Whilst the site offers plenty of open spaces, it is important to note that crowds may build up in certain areas. For those with mental health, emotional or sensory issues, the sounds, lights, smells and crowds of a festival have the potential to be difficult.

All our welfare staff are there to offer you a safe haven when needed, bring good vibes and make sure you are back enjoying the festival in no time. Use them.

+ Lost or Missing Persons

If you have lost your friends, speak to a member of security or head to the Welfare Tent where they will be able to help reunite you with your loved ones.

If you find a vulnerable person, please take them straight to a security guard or the Welfare Tent.

Top tips for how to look after yourself and others

  • Don’t be afraid to use our facilities – our welfare team is there to help, however big or small the issue.
  • Don’t be afraid to talk to our staff if you feel unsafe – see our advice on reporting crime or antisocial behaviour further down in this section.
  • Get to know your campsite neighbours. Look out for each other.
  • Leave your car glove box empty and open to deter thieves.
  • Make sure you wear suncream and keep hydrated.
  • Choose a meeting point for you and your friends to meet in case you lose each other. The Info Point is a good place for this.
  • Keep an eye on your fellow festival-goer and friends
  • The festival is generally well-lit at night, but some areas can be darker than others. Keep a torch on you.
  • Don’t leave your drinks unattended or accept drinks from strangers.
  • Leave your valuables at home or in our lockers. Not in your tent. Or in your car.
  • Don’t make it easy for thieves to find your belongings – spread your valuables out rather than keeping them in one bag / pocket.
  • Don’t carry large amounts of cash.

+ Info / Meeting Point

The Info Point is next to Medical and Welfare, open Thursday – Sunday. The timings are:

Thursday – 12:00—22:00

Friday – 10:00—22:00

+ Swimming & Water Activities

We are lucky enough to have a beautiful swimming lake on-site for those who’d like to take part in some fresh water swimming.

Qualified lifeguards will oversee all water-based activities during the swimming times of 09:00 – 20:00 daily (except from Thursday, which will be 13:00)

Our boating lake will also be open for activities from 09:00 until 22:00 Friday through Sunday (13:00 start on Thursday).

If you’re not a strong swimmer, bring armbands and have a chat with the lifeguards before getting in the water.

+ Reporting Anti-Social Behaviour or Crime

If you are concerned about anything, witness, or are victim to a crime or antisocial behaviour, it is important that you report it immediately to festival staff or security. They are there to help. In all instances, the more information you can give us, the better.

Please do not call 999 directly – our internal emergency fire, medical and security teams will be able to respond much quicker. In the very rare cases that we might need assistance from local emergency services, we have direct links to ensure effective coordination of response so it is always better for any 999 communication to come via the festival team.

+ Strobes

Strobe or lasers may be used at the event. There will be no announcements beforehand.

+ Zero Tolerance

The festival does not condone the use or sale of controlled or illegal substances. Anyone found to be in breach of this policy will be dealt with as per the Terms and Conditions of Entry

Sustainability & Environmental Awareness

Minimising the environmental impact of Outlook is a core focus for the whole team. Please help us keep the land beautiful and this event sustainable with the following guidelines:

What can I do to minimise my environmental impact at the festival?

  • If you plan on driving and have any spare seats to offer out, or if you are looking to jump in a fellow festival goer’s spare seat, please register for an account with https://liftshare.com/uk for easy, organised car-pooling.

  • Please bring a reusable bottle to be refilled at available water stations on site. At Outlook we have a no single use plastics and no glass policy; reusable metal bottles will be on sale at our merchandise stands and on site bars will stock water in aluminium cans.

  • Please do not bring glitter to the site with you. It’s always great to sparkle at festivals but not at the cost of micro plastic damage to our oceans and wider environment.

  • Pack thoughtfully before your journey; consider excess packaging and minimise what you bring – leaving anything you don’t need at home – in order to reduce waste and make leaving no trace easier for everyone.

What is Outlook Festival doing to minimise their environmental impact?

  • Danley sound systems are some of the greenest sound systems available, taking up approximately ¼ of trucking space and power requirements (vs. standard line array systems) due to their efficiency. Danley speakers also maximise use of both recycled materials and rare earth materials in manufacturing.

  • We will be holding our food and drink concessions to the same standards with reusable cups used across all bars on site. No straws, plastic cutlery, polystyrene or any other single use plastics will be permitted on site in any capacity.

  • Our bars and concessions will offer a number of vegan and other products chosen for their sustainability.
