YOUNGSTA - LIVE AT OUTLOOK 2019
First up in our live recordings from Outlook 2019 is a selection of sets from the Deep, Dark & Dangerous x Sentry Records takeover in the Void - alongside the release of his set, we spoke to Sentry Records label head and Outlook Festival long-standing affiliate; Youngsta.
1. First things first, how have you been holding up in all this lockdown madness? What have you been focussing your time/attention on?
I’m well and good thank you.

2. You've been a part of Outlook Festival for a long time, do you have a memory from over the years that stands out above others?
There’s been so many amazing experiences at Outlook Festival over the years, one of my fondest and most memorable was definitely in 2014. The Contact boat party, Moat stage takeover and it was my 30th birthday. Celebrating with some of my closest friends at my favourite festival in Europe was very emotional to say the least...
3. Since its beginning, Sentry Records, the label you started back in 2017 has also featured at the festival - what's in store for the label over the coming months? Are there any new releases in the pipeline?
Pre-orders are available now for my forthcoming release on Sentry Records featuring Killa P and Long Range. It’s called ‘Progress’ and it’s out on April 24th.
The next Sentry release (SEN014) is courtesy of Boylan, Logos, Slimzee and U.S.F.
4. This set was a special one, recorded live at the Void in 2019 - can you tell us a little bit about it, it's not very often we hear a Youngsta set with so many emcees - how did that come about?
It’s always a pleasure playing on the Void stage at Outlook especially when I’m joined by so many talented diverse Mc’s adding an amazing new dynamic energy to my set which is very different to my usual music focused performances. Myself and the Mc’s did not prearrange the set, it happened naturally. The only thing I said to Killa P was that I’m gonna test out our new track ‘Progress’ on the Void, he asked me my set time and the rest is history...
