SUBDUB 21 - LIVE AT OUTLOOK 2019
Next up in our live recordings from Outlook 2019 is a selection of sets from the SUBDUB’s 21st year celebrations. Along for the party were Sinai Sound, Channel One, Iration Steppas ft Macky Banton and Dego Ranking, O.B.F & The A1 Crew featuring Shanti D, Sr Wilson & Charlie P as well as Ashanti Selah. Blessing the arena at Fort Punta Christo with a bumpy, feel-good ride with plenty of deep vibrations - all powered by the mighty Sinai Sound System.
SINAI SOUND
Undoubtedly one of the best sound systems the UK has to offer, Sinai have been regulars at Outlook over the years. In 2019 they brought their custom built sound and a stack of killer dubs for one final time to Punta Christo and made sure it was a celebration we’ll never forget.
CHANNEL ONE
With 2019 marking their fourth decade of trailblazing sound system culture to the UK and international audiences, who better to join the Subdub arena than their close friends, Channel One. Bringing a tight selection of old and new roots music, Channel One were key players in flying the sound system flag high for the final edition at the fort.
IRATION STEPPAS FT. MACKY BANTON & DEGO RANKING
Uniting with fellow Leeds institution Subdub, Iration Steppa’s home-grown roots have continued to make A mark on Outlook festival since day one. Operating with a true sense of commitment to uniting people through the love of sound system culture, Iration Steppas, Macky Banton and Dego Ranking once again bring maximum vibrations for the final fort.
O.B.F & THE A1 CREW feat. CHARLIE P, SR WILSON & SHANTI D
A mighty partnership, O.B.F and The A1 Crew were in full force at the fort, with Charlie P, Sr Wilson and Shanti D forming a dream team of vocalists. Bouncy riddims and the sweet sounds of reggae and heavyweight dub also in full attendance!
ASHANTI SELAH
Adding to the arenas positive vibrations, young UK dub producer and performer Ashanti Selah, eldest son of the world-renowned soundman, Aba Shanti, showed festival goers how new generation sound system music remains influenced by the enduring power of traditional sound system culture - keeping the fire burning bright!
